I apologize for leaving out cross country. I myself have never been very attracted to the sport, but I am glad you brought it up.

Our Favre,
Who art in Lambeau,
Hallowed be thine arm.
The bowl will come,
It will be won.
In New Orleans as it is in Lambeau.
And give us this Sunday,
Our weekly win.
And give us many touchdown passes.
But do not let others pass against us.
Lead us not into frustration,
But deliver us to Bourbon street.
For thine is the MVP, the best of the NFC,
and the glory of the Cheeseheads,
now and forever.

I was discussing the Packers and Brett Favre with a non-Packers fan and with someone who strongly dislikes Brett Favre as a San Fransico 49ers fan. This conversation took place during week 2 of the football season.

However, he said that he would approve of Brett Favre if at the end of this (as in the current) season after throwing the winning the touchdown in the Super Bowl collapse to a heroes death after conquering all of man, but losing to Football in a Nitzschean Will to Power struggle.

Any thoughts on this fortune and view on Brett Favre, Joe?

That sounds like something that The Paul Robinson would say...

Brett Favre already is such a legend that a hero's death may possibly make him the greatest human being who ever lived (excluding Jesus...maybe).

I don't quite know how to respond to your comment f.n. I first had to look up the will to power struggle. I think I may need a philosophy lesson before I can fully answer this question, but given my current knowledge I would guess the later rather than the former. Apparently the will to power comes from ones creativity and not from ones desire for power like this "heroes death." I do not think that Favre will retire though. I still think that Packers have a chance of winning the Super Bowl:)
