Yes - just look at people's myspace pages.
Though, when there are too many choices I find that brand recognition plays a huge role - such as buying shampoo / toothpaste / other things.
I recommend the book "Blink" as an insight on how the subconscious helps us make quick decisions.

your monitor can probably display 32 bit color. That's more colors than our eyes can see.
